Film and Video Game Sound DESIGN

The videos and the video game were provided by FullSail University for educational purposes. The audio composition for the videos and the audio production for the games are original and composed by me.

Emotional Score

Composed for a short film with an emotional / heartfelt tone, this original score was built entirely from the director’s description of the story’s mood. My goal was to evoke feelings of [sorrow / longing / hope etc.] while supporting narrative pacing without overwhelming the visuals. Key elements include:

    •    Melodic themes that carry emotional weight

    •    Soft instrumentation (e.g. piano, strings) for intimacy and warmth

    •    Dynamic swells and releases to mirror the story’s tension and resolution

    •    Clean mix, subtle use of reverb and sustain to let the score breathe

Eerie Score

This score was composed for a short film with an “eerie / unsettling” mood. Based purely on the director’s description of tone and narrative tension, I developed this piece to build suspense, disquiet, and a gradual sense of dread. Key elements include:

    •    Atmospheric textures and drones to set an uneasy base

    •    Sparse melodic fragments that appear and vanish, enhancing tension

    •    Dynamic shifts—softness to sudden bursts—to surprise and unsettle the listener

    •    Use of reverb, low frequency elements, and dissonance to sustain mood without overwhelming the scene

AngryBots Sound Design

For this project, I was responsible for the complete audio production of the gameplay footage. My work included:

    •    Sound design for actions, movement, and UI elements

    •    Mixing and balancing to make sure effects stayed clear during intense gameplay

    •    Layering ambience to create a more immersive environment

    •    Final polish and rendering for professional playback quality

 

This project demonstrates my skills in game audio, mixing in Logic Pro, and creating sound that both enhances gameplay and supports the player experience.

2dPlatformer Sound Design

In this screen recording of a 2D platformer project, I was responsible for the full sound design & final mix. My contribution includes:

    •    Custom sound effects for movement, jumping, terrain interaction, and character actions

    •    Ambient background layers to give depth and consistency across scenes

    •    Dialogue / UI sound editing where needed, ensuring clarity and impact

    •    Mixing strategies to maintain balance between effects, music, and voice
